About Koru Kindy
Our Philosophy
Our centre is a unique space dedicated to the development and support of young children within our community. We are a home away from home offering a nurturing and calm environment where children are given the freedom to choose and direct their own learning.
Curiosity – the desire to explore and learn is at the heart of our Centre focus. We strive to support children’s natural curiosity to explore and learn through offering a wide range of mediums to scaffold children’s ever developing abilities. Teachers here at Koru Kindy are dedicated professionals offering an environment that is both inclusive and accepting.
Communication with whanau and the wider community allows both children and families to make connections with their home environment and develop a sense of belonging here at Kindy.
